Forest Hill Kitchen
Photographing this home was about letting the architecture and materials speak for themselves. The spaces are calm and intentional, so I focused on working with mostly natural light and clean compositions.
The kitchen was the heart of the renovation, and the opening to the downstairs den to create a seamless connection. Warm wood cabinetry, handmade tile, and dark stone surfaces respond beautifully to changing light, revealing texture and depth throughout the day. Framing emphasized the connection between indoors and out, using the wood-framed windows to pull in views of greenery.
Working with New York based designer, Emily Lindberg and DC Architect Megan Downy and Chris Lyon was a real privilege.
